Emotions which are direct from the heart of truth does not require you to have known a person for years in order to know him/her as well as is possible. This holds true even if you have never had a face-to-face meeting with the person in question. Your relationship, thus far, may have been carried out over the internet, or by letter or even through Facebook messages. My contact with my Facebook friend, Steven Spencer has been just so. Indeed, any news I have ever garnered about Steven’s partner, Kenneth has been via Steven’s comments.
I dedicate my song this morning to Steven and Ken. Ken has cancer and he has had its associated treatments for a while now with a constant experience of bad side effects. During this past couple of weeks, Ken has made the decision to cease all further cancer treatment and instead receive palliative care from his home base. Steven stated within the past few days that he expects this Christmas with Ken to be their last Christmas together.
I wish Steven and Ken the best of Christmases possible from their situation and hope that despite the circumstances of their uncertain future, it is a Christmas that can be enjoyed by Ken and fondly remembered in years to come by Steven. My thoughts and prayers are with them both. May their strong relationship over the years give them the strength to cherish the time ahead and to enjoy as many pain-free moments as possible. During their remaining time together, may God be their companion in the wings, may their love for each other be their comfort blanket and peace be their pillow.
Love and peace. Bill xxx
