"Some of our best lessons ever learned are learned in one's childhood and endure with us for the rest of one's life. Unfortunately, the truly bad experiences which some children experience at the hands of others also stay with them and unless that bad experience is reprocessed in one's memory bank, it can and, often does lead to emotional disturbance.Take a leaf out of the character Ali Barba's book and exchange your bad old experience for a fresh new one to retain in your memory bank. "Today would have been my mum's birthday. She died when she was barely 64 years old. She was perhaps the best story teller I ever knew and loved life to the full with a wicked side to her that was forgivable. I feel sure that it was her influence over my growing imagination as a child when she spoke about the nuns that taught her that confirmed me in the role of author and not that of priest."
