'Be My Life'

This is the only hymn that I have ever written and will ever write. The original musical composition came from a tune composed in collaboration with the late John Foyle that was arranged and presented by myself before being given as a gift to my friend and television presenter of 'Gardener's World', the wonderful Geoffrey Smith, lately deceased. Geoffrey always thought that I should rearrange the song and present it as a hymn. So I rewrote and rearranged the piece and presented it to the love of my life, Sheila. The words are simple and they remind one of the fact that for ‘God to be my life’, we must be His Word, His Peace, His Joy and His Love as we try to represent his life on earth with all whom we come into contact.
I gave the hymn to my love and intended bride,Sheila as an Easter Sunday present of 2011.
