Thought for today:
"I wonder if my Sheila will pluck up the courage of this 'Leap year' opportunity today and ask for the pleasure of my hand in marriage. If not, then I'll give her a 'double torment' by asking her to marry me on my 70th birthday in November of this year.

Thought for today:

'We live in an crude age of crippling self-interest, where some concepts like doing what is good and right simply because it is the right thing to do have been sadly lost. I would rather die on my feet than live on my knees and yet, I know that only a person who is prepared to kneel before their God is capable of standing up to anyone. Love and Peace.”

"God alone is eternal; all else will vanish before our eyes when His day of judgement beckons. On this day, the compassionate in life will be comforted forever, the meek shall be protected, the loving cared for and those who lived a life attempting to fight and oppose all wrong wherever they crossed it, shall sit at God's right hand." "I am neither North, South, East or West but feel at home in all tepees. No boundaries exist in my breast; no cultural walls separate my mind from the thoughts that concern you and no hurt that ever touches you leaves me unpained by your suffering. You are my earth neighbour and my heavenly companion." William Forde: February 26th, 2012.

" Something flows from your eyes that lights the passion of my soul and stirs my embers of desire. Your look moves me beyond a thousand desires as it promises me all to come. At last my beloved has arrived and my heart has started to awaken and yearn for the flight and fancy of young love once more." William Forde: February 25th, 2012.

"Some people possess the capacity to look at a thorn and see a budding rose, look at the night and see the day that follows. They are also sensitive enough to recognise the maleness in every woman and the woman in every man. It is this openness of heart and extent of vision which enables them to see Godliness in every human." William Forde: February 22nd, 2012.

" One is never too young to learn the pleasure that can be derived from hugging, a tree, an animal or a human being. It matters not who or what one hugs, as the positive transfer of body energy is universally beneficial to all. Unfortunately, all those who are incapable of giving a hug cannot find it in their heart ever to truly love without condition and will lose out on one of life's greatest treasures." " Nothing can spoil the image of perfect love nor disguise that special bond of  joy between a mother and her child or indeed any creature of nature towards its young. To see such love embrace the lives of two creatures is nothing less than a picture of perfection within this imperfect world of mankind." William Forde: February 18th, 2012.

"Sisters are special. They can steal your toys, steal your clothes for a night out on the town, raid your purse or even throw up on you and still retain your love and affection. But let them once try to steal your man and they can turn out to be the world's worse enemies. Blood is most definitely thicker than water, but once it stops flowing in the warmth of human kindness, blood dries up all the quicker "

"A bridge has acted as a post of love as sweethearts meet to make plans and dream of future years. A marine has harboured boats from many oceans that have sought the stillness of its nightime waters. A sunrise at open sea should be a must for all romantic venturors, but it only in the quiet of a pond-bound lily that happiness and peace is truly reflected in the magnificent madness of a Monet mirage." "Today is my daughter Rebecca's birthday. She is my only daughter and the costliest of the four children I fathered. Even as a child, she quickly learned 'the power over dad' that an only daughter possesses and which her three brothers would have died for. She has always been able to make this educated and intelligent man no more than putty in her hands whenever and whatever she wanted. I wouldn't go as far as to say that I've ruined her, but I've most certainly spoiled her and have been probably responsible for turning her into a lifelong Tory with my lavishness." " Even when I couldn't ride horses, but longed to do so, they held a pride of place in my affection. Being unable to walk between the ages of 12 and 15 years of age left me resolved to one day ride this beautiful creature. As I lay there crippled looking out a window to four horses in a field, I knew then that they would prance that ground with a majesty of movement that I would never possess."
