'Books I have published'

For over 50 years, I have used my life experiences to teach me how to be happy with the person I am and at peace with the world in which I live. Towards this end I must claim success. As I reflect back upon my life, I can now see the common threads throughout which have shaped my beliefs, influenced my behaviour and moved my soul. I now know that all I have done over the past half century has been ‘the same thing done in different ways and represented in different packages.’

My life is reflected in five distinct stages of learning that has involved me: working with myself, working with trade unionists, working with offenders, working with children and writing short stories for my adult readership under the umbrella title of 'Tales from Portlaw.' Each of these stages have involved the examination, expression and control of those feelings and emotions that humans find so difficult to cope with: such as Fear, Anger, Jealousy, Bereavement, Separation, Loss or the inability to express Love etc.

When I started working with children around 1990, I chose the medium of storytelling to convey my own particular knowledge in these areas of human behaviour. I predominantly chose to use animals as the chief characters in most of my children’s books because ‘children find animals easier to identify with.’

Subsequently, most of my books for children will have animal heroes and heroines and the story themes will invariably address those themes which produce problem situations and behaviours, along with those feelings and emotions that children find very difficult to healthily express. As the founder of the process of ‘Anger Management’ in 1971, I have been able to employ this knowledge through all my books. From all of the books I have ever had published for children, my stories of, 'Sleezy the Fox' and 'Douglas the Dragon' encapsulate the whole of my purpose and learning upon this earth and are my most popular children's stories and the best-selling publications over the past twenty five years.

All of the stories highlighted below with the book cover illustrations, are now available as E-books from www'smashwords.com or if you prefer to read in hard copy, they are avialable from www.amazon.com and www.lulu.com in that format. The prices of all books sold have the smallest of profits, with all the profits going to charitable causes in perpetuity. Since I started writing and publishing books in 1990, I have never taken a penny profit from my writings and between 1990 and 2005 all two hundred thousand pounds profits (£200,000) from the sales of my books have gone to various charities and charitable causes. A number of my books have also been recorded and they are available to freely download in the Audio Stories section of this website. Some of these audio stories have been recorded by famous people. Also; forty years ago, I recorded a special relaxation tape to assist people who could not sleep beneficially. That tape is freely available to download. It is entitled, 'Relax with Bill'  and since it was first produced, many thousands of copies have been given away. It was never made to be sold and never will be. Please click here for more information.
Here's a direct link to Smashwords where you can download all my books in e-book format. All book profits from sales go to charity. If you prefer any of these books in hard copy, they are available from Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk, CreateSpace and Lulu with all book sale profits going to charitable causes in perpetuity.
