It would have been Mark’s 50th birthday today, and I sing my song to celebrate Mark’s life and dedicate it to all his family. Mark leaves behind partner Sam Swales and Sam’s children Milly and Leon. Mark also had three children, Sam, Jack, and Luke. Making up Mark’s family is his parents, Pat and Gordon Walworth, brother Stephen, his grandmother, Lily, and his Aunt Jackie (widowed after the death of her husband Graham).
My niece Sam told me that one of Mark’s favourite songs was ‘Kayleigh-Marillion’ which I had never heard before. So, I learned this song, and today I sing it in celebration of Mark’s life and fond memory of happier times. We only met a few times, Mark, but you impressed me as being a good man and a good partner for my niece, Sam. Rest in peace Mark. Uncle Billy xxx

‘Kayleigh’ is a song by the British neo-progressive rock band, ‘Marillion’. It was released as the first single from the concept album ‘Misplaced Childhood’. It was the band's most successful single in the UK, where it peaked at Number 2 and stayed on the chart for a total of 14 weeks. It also became the band's most successful single worldwide, reaching the top 10 in the Republic of Ireland, Norway, and France. It reached Number 1 in Poland and became the band's sole appearance on the United States ‘Billboard Hot 100’ chart at Number 74 in October 1985. The song popularised the name ‘Kayleigh’ in the UK.
Happy heavenly birthday Mark. RIP with love from all your family and the Forde Family.
