"I will remember all places of my past experiences for different things, but when it comes to recalling the most splendid array of colours I ever saw, I shall remember that period of year in Toronto, immediately prior to the Canadian Fall as the Maple Leaf prepared to shed its folliage. The Canadian Fall represents for me Nature's attempt to outdo the haunting resplendence that can be found in the depths of Lalique Glass. I have never seen the full spectrum of the colour-wheel between yellow and rusty orange provide such a forest of tree tops designed to thrill the senses and fill the the waters below with a reflection of sheer richness than the Maples of Toronto do each season. Yes, the leaves of the Maple may fall, but only after they have risen in full glory to fill the trees around and stir the season's senses." William Forde: November 3rd, 2014.
