I'm not sure that I'd have done any different to Paula Radcliffe when she was 'caught short' whilst running the London Marathon in 2005 and had to make an emergency 'pit-stop' before getting back out on the track and winning the race. Such was not the occasion for watching ones 'ps and qs' it would seem.
Isn't it strange how the more gentler sex can make the most natural of bodily functions look such a strain in its execution, while an upright old tramp can effortlessly allow life to flow by with the utmost of dignity as he looks to the broad horizon for purpose and direction?"
