Thought for today:
"Every couple who have ever been in love will share some special song of which the words or tune brings an instant image and feeling of happy days in their past. The song may remind them of some happy occasion or even one brief moment in time, when no other thing and no other person in the world mattered more than their lover, sweetheart and soul mate. And even if the relationship eventually breaks up or finds a natural ending as most relationships are prone to do, the grieving party/ parties will invariably either play 'their song' or alternately, refuse to ever listen to it out again! Such is the power of 'their song.' It has the capacity to to move the most intransigent of emotions and the power to bring instant tears to one's eyes. It can both soften and harden hearts that still feel tender and melt moments of magic into the most melodious of notes. Mine and Sheila's seems be, 'Once I had a Secret Love' by Kathy Kirby, but even that secret has now been let out of the bag." William Forde: July 20th, 2013
