"If only I'd known that my differences from others would become my greatest asset, then my early life would have been much easier for me. If only I'd appreciated then that one man's hindrance could be another man's help, I may not have given up on another so quickly and as often. If only I'd sensed that one person's cure is another's poison, I might have more profitably drank from wells that satisfied my every thirst. If only I'd suspected that superiority of station only comes from one's expectations of others' lowliness, I would never have made myself taller by cutting others down to a size smaller than I. If only I'd known the true contradiction of mankind, I would have felt more confident and worthy in the majesty of myself. For mankind is but a flawed God; made imperfect by the perfection of the sun, moon and stars that shine down on all in equal measure."William Forde: July 13th, 2013.
