Today is the feast day of 'Good Friday', the day when Christ died upon the cross and took unto himself the suffering of the world. 'Why' you might ask 'did Christ do that for me? I didn't ask him to.' The answer is simply because he loved you. Whom among you as a parent, if you saw your child suffering and could take their pain from them and shoulder it instead, wouldn't? Why therefore should Christ be denied the same experience for his children?
