Was anyone to ask me what has kept me going through some difficult periods of the past five years my answer would be, Sheila, family, friends, God, prayers and the love that people have lavished on me. I have truly felt much blessed and more loved than any man has a right to be; and I want you all to know that it is this mountain of love that has been expressed towards me over the last five years that has undoubtedly 'held me close' to this good life on earth, to each of you, to my family and my wife and to my God.
Having received my good news yesterday that I am to be offered yet another operation in an attempt to get rid of the malignant growth inside my head is the best Christmas present I could have. The mere fact that being granted the operation against the odds is more important at this moment in time than the eventual outcome. It effectively keeps me in the race of life a bit longer and maintains the hope in my bucket at the high level it has always been. Believe me and give thanks, for 'today' is a good day to be alive.
Love and peace. Bill xxx
