My song today is ‘She’s A Lady’. This song was written by Paul Anka and was released on his album ‘Paul Anka ‘70s’. The most successful recording was performed by Tom Jones, and released at the beginning of 19071. It is Jones' highest-charting single in the U.S. to date (and his final Billboard Top Ten hit).
"She's a Lady" hit Number 1 in Cash Box magazine for a week and spending one week at Numbe5r2 on the ‘Billboard Hot 100’ chart. The song was also a Number4 hit on the US Billboard ‘Easy Listening’ chart. Billboard ranked it as the Number 25 song for 1971. In Canada, the single reached Number1 on the RPM National Singles Chart’.

I can never hear the song I sing today without thinking about my wife, Sheila. I have printed, spoken, and sung ample about my beautiful wife, Sheila, in the past, that were I to praise her any higher today, she would not have to wait until she dies to be carried up into heaven on the wings of angels. Saint Peter would simply tell her, “There’s no need for you to come up here yet, Saint Sheila. You just stay put in the heaven you presently occupy on earth below; a heaven that your disposition constantly allows others a glimpse of through the natural goodness you display in every thought you have and deed you do. Continue to give selflessly to all whom you daily meet, the grace and favour of your presence, along with the shining example of your goodness made flesh”.
My Sheila is all things to all admirers, but what she represents to me, to put it succinctly is, ‘She’s a Lady’.
