"To accomplish great things we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe. Remain true to yourself and constant to your dreams and you shall realise what can be. Never doubt your ability to endure and succeed. Have faith in yourself and in all manner of things that are good and wholesome, for faith is awesome and its extent of power is limitless. The next time you breathe the fresh air, breathe in the realms of all possibility and allow this elixir of life to touch the palate of your senses and send your taste buds into a frenzy of future hope and a purr of eternal satisfaction. It is for you that the earth continues to spin on its axis of love; it is for your dreams that the Creator gave you the imagination to conceive the total sum of all your hope. Believe and it shall be!" William Forde: May 5th, 2013.

Thought for today: "In solitude we give passive attention to our lives, our memories and the details around us. It is only when we dive deeper into the mind, do we find a place of no disturbance and absolute solitude. It is from within the core of this profound stillness that the sound of the mind can be heard and the music of the universe exists." William Forde: May 4th, 2013. Thought for today: " They say that the way to a man's heart is through his stomach. How true! When I first met Sheila, a mere two and a half years ago, I weighed two stones less than I do now. Now, I know that I've never eaten as well and that she is 'probably' the best cook in the whole wide world, but launching a full scale attack on a man's stomach is hitting below the belt in my book. They say that a person is what they eat. The way I see things is quite simple: Sheila's malt bread: Sheila's soda bread: Sheila's Cornish pasties: Sheila's meat pies: Sheila's assortment of rich desserts: Sheila's jams: Sheila's pavlova: Bill's big tummy: SHEILA'S FAULT!" William Forde: May 3rd,2013. Thought for today: "All bold men and women hail from the North and all Haworth romantics are dreamers. We see things in a soft moorland haze of a spring morning over the tops or in the embers of a red-fire's glow in the heart of a cold, winter's night. Many men allow their dreams to fade away into the foggy distance or let them die through the mere passage of time, while the stalwarts of Haworth Heath (a secret spot that nestles in the border of the Bronte moors and one which I shall never reveal the whereabouts of), nourish and protect their dreams. They nurse them tenderly through the bad days until they bring them to fruition in the summer time ahead. Haworth Heath stalwarts know that the furrow is ploughed straighter when it is ploughed with conviction and purpose or as we say in Yorkshire, 'when we put our backs into it.' We also appreciate that one lives better when one lives with a dream and that those who never dream lived nowt but a mundane existence, filled with raw tatties, cold, dark nights, dank cellars filled with ghosts of the past and affection gone stale." William Forde: May 2nd, 2013. Thought for today: "May 1st is an ancient Northern hemisphere festival and used to be regarded as the first day of summer. It is today, a traditional spring holiday in many cultures where village maidens are crowned 'The Queen of the May', and village dances around the Maypole still take place in memory of past country tradition. In more recent years, May Day has become a day of large rallies and protest marches across Europe. I think I prefer its older associations with music and a beauty pageant as opposed to its more modern political offshoots." William Forde: May 1st, 2013. |
